               NATIONAL GIRL CHILD DAY 


    The National Girl Child Day is celebrated in India every year on January 24. The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India initiated this celebration in 2008.

Why is January 24th a girl child day?

    It's to honour the importance of girls and raise awareness about the challenges they face. The day was first introduced in 2008 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development to promote gender equality and address the issues surrounding the welfare of girls in India.
