              WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5th. It's a global event organized by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage action to protect the planet. The theme for World Environment Day 2025 is "Putting an End to Plastic Pollution".

The slogan for 2025 is "Beat Plastic Pollution". This campaign highlights the urgent need to reduce plastic waste, find sustainable alternatives, and promote responsible consumption and production. The global celebrations for World Environment Day 2025 were held in the Republic of Korea, specifically Jeju Province.
